Manchester United have reportedly reduced their asking price for winger Alejandro Garnacho to £55 million, making it more feasible for clubs such as Napoli and potentially Chelsea to pursue the 20-year-old player.

Garnacho’s future at Manchester United has been uncertain for some time, and recent developments suggest that his time at Old Trafford could be coming to an end. Napoli, the Italian club, had a £40 million bid rejected just last week but is now preparing to make a new, higher offer in light of United’s revised price tag.

Despite showing flashes of his potential, Garnacho has struggled to secure a consistent place in the starting lineup under current manager Erik ten Hag. Additionally, concerns have been raised regarding his fit in Ten Hag’s tactical setup, especially considering the winger’s lack of a natural position in the team’s formation.

While Manchester United have not actively sought to sell Garnacho, they are reportedly open to offers due to financial fair play regulations. Should Garnacho depart, his transfer would count as pure profit for the club, which would be a welcomed boost to their financial standing.

Napoli is particularly interested in Garnacho, with the club looking to sign him as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who recently made a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea is also believed to be keeping tabs on the young winger, though Manchester United would reportedly prefer to sell him abroad rather than to a Premier League rival. This means that a transfer to an international club, rather than another English team, seems more likely if Garnacho leaves the club in the near future.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Garnacho could still feature for Manchester United in their upcoming Europa League match against Rangers, providing the player with an opportunity to showcase his skills once again before the transfer window closes.

Garnacho’s future at Manchester United remains up in the air, the club’s decision to lower their asking price to £55 million has opened the door for other clubs, including Napoli and Chelsea, to potentially make a move.

With his future uncertain, Garnacho could be on the move soon, and his next steps in his career could have a significant impact on his development as a young talent in European football.
