Real Valladolid have reached an agreement to sign Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo on loan from Celta Vigo for the remainder of the season.

Aidoo has endured a difficult campaign at Celta Vigo, making just one appearance and playing only one minute in La Liga this season. His last league outing came on September 15, 2024, against Valladolid, when he was introduced late in a 3-1 victory for Celta.

The 29-year-old has struggled for game time since recovering from a serious Achilles tendon injury sustained in October 2023. While Valladolid are keen to reinforce their squad as they fight to escape relegation, Aidoo must first pass a medical, with concerns lingering over his fitness.

Currently bottom of the La Liga table, Valladolid see Aidoo’s arrival as a crucial addition in their bid to turn their fortunes around.
