‘The task is daunting’ – Dr Omane Boamah says about his work after first day in office

Ghana’s Defence Minister, Dr Omane Boamah has indicated that his work at the ministry is daunting.

Apart from it being daunting, he discloses that the debts are deep.

However, he says he is up to the task he has accepted from President John Dramani Mahama at the Defence Ministry.

Dr Omane Boamah made his challenge known after his first day at work as Minister.

He said, “The task is daunting, the debts are deep, the threats are many but we’re up to the task. We shall press on”.

Meanwhile, on his first day at work, the Minister organized a staff durbar after he met with Directors at the Ministry.

In a post shared via social media, he said, “This morning, I met the Chief of the Defence Staff and Service Commanders and followed up with two separate meetings:

1. Directors of the Ministry of Defence, and

2. A Staff Durbar.

The task is daunting, the debts are deep, the threats are many but we’re up to the task.

We shall press on”.
