Past students of St. Augustine’s College have honoured some of its heroes who have contributed to the upliftment of the image of the school.
The honour is part of events to mark the school’s post-ninetieth anniversary celebration of the school.
The event, which was heavily attended by hundreds of the school’s old students who are major players in the various sectors of the country’s economy, took place at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
Known faces who were honoured on the day include Hackman Owusu Agyemang, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, Prof. Ernest Kofi Abotsi, Sammi Awuku, and Kabral Blay-Amihere.
In all 78 old students were honoured, while 6 persons were honoured posthumously.
The Old Students also recognized the contribution of five headmasters of the school who were also old students.
On the night, glowing tributes were paid to the honorees for their roles with special recognition which included a citation and a medal presented to them.
