NPP communicator Ellen Ama Daaku has criticized the government for failing to address economic hardships while allegedly targeting political opponents.
Speaking on Asaase Radio monitored by MyNewsGh, she condemned the reported raid on former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s residence and questioned the government’s priorities.
“Ghanaians are not interested in what happened in the past. That is why they voted for you.
“They voted for you to reset Ghana, not to reset people’s houses by sending Jakpa to go into people’s homes,” she remarked.
Her comments come after a group of about 12 individuals, including five in military uniforms, one in a police uniform, and others in plain clothes, stormed Ofori-Atta’s residence in Cantonments on February 11, 2025, while he was abroad for medical treatment.
His wife and family members were reportedly at home during the incident.
Daaku also called out the economic struggles Ghanaians are facing, urging the government to focus on real solutions.
“You are supposed to reset the economy, making sure kenkey is sold at GHC1,” she added.
