A 14-year-old boy from London has lost a legal battle against his parents after accusing them of deception—claiming they tricked him into traveling to Ghana under the guise of visiting a sick relative, only to enroll him in a boarding school.
The teenager, who had hoped for a short family visit, was devastated to discover his parents’ real intentions.
In his plea to the court, he lamented, “I feel like I am living in hell. I really do not think I deserve this, and I want to come home, back to England, as soon as possible.”
However, his parents stood by their decision, arguing that they acted in his best interest.
They expressed deep concern over his safety in London, fearing that he was being groomed into criminal activities.
His father defended their actions, stating, “We did not want him to become yet another black teenager stabbed to death in the streets of London.”
Despite the boy’s claims of poor treatment and difficult conditions at the Ghanaian school, the High Court in London ruled in favour of the parents.
The judge acknowledged that while the teenager felt betrayed, his parents’ actions stemmed from genuine concern for his future.
