The Ghana National Fire Service has ensured it contained a fire outbreak on a storey building at the Tudu market in Accra.
According to Public Relations Officer for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Alex King Nartey, although they had challenges with accessibility they made do with what they had to ensure that they contained the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.
As of the time of this report, the fire had been confined but not out of control.
Three fire tenders had been deployed to the scene by the Ghana National Fire Service to help prevent the spread of the fire.
These included Makola, National Headquarters, and Korle Bu, which is the Regional Headquarters.
The fire is said to have started from a boutique on the top floor of the storey building.
