The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has knocked Governor Siminalayi Fubara over his letter to the Rivers State House of Assembly.
In a media chat with journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, the former governor described the letter as “useless.”
The letter sought a meeting with lawmakers to discuss the implementation of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the state’s political crisis.
However, Wike criticized Fubara’s approach, stating that the lawmakers, led by Speaker Martins Amaewhule, are not the governor’s subordinates and deserve proper respect.
He argued that instead of sending a public letter, Fubara should have reached out to the Speaker and his colleagues directly via phone to arrange a meeting.
