
Year-on-year inflation for March 2025 slowed down to 22.4% from the 23.1% recorded in February 2025.
This was influenced by a reduction in food and non-food inflation.
Overall, the food inflation rate for March 2025 was estimated at 26.5%, down from 28.1% in February 2025
Non-food inflation rate also continued to decline but marginally this time from 18.8% in February to 18.7%.
However, Inflation for locally produced items reduced to 24.0% from 25.1%.
In contrast, inflation rate for imported items increased to 18.7% in March 2025 from 18.5% in February 2025.
Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages recorded an inflation rate of 26.5%, while Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels recorded an inflation rate of 25.1%
These sub-divisions recorded a higher inflation compared to the national inflation rate
On the regional basis, the Upper West Region recorded the highest inflation rate of 36.2%.
The Volta region however, recorded the lowest regional inflation rate of 18.9%.
