President Tinubu Sends Easter Message to Nigerians from Europe

-

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, currently on a working visit to Europe, has sent heartfelt Easter greetings to Nigerians.

In a statement released by the State House and signed by the president on Good Friday, the President reflected on the significance of Easter, describing it as a period for deep introspection and renewal.

“Easter, marking the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, stands as the cornerstone of the Christian faith,” President Tinubu said. “It is a powerful reminder of sacrifice, redemption, love, and hope.”

President Tinubu used the occasion to acknowledge recent killings and expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in parts of the country. He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to national security, stating that he had issued firm directives to the Armed Forces and all security agencies to act decisively. “Forces of evil will never prevail over our country,” he declared.

On the economy, the President acknowledged the hardships many Nigerians continue to face but noted that signs of recovery are beginning to emerge. He pledged ongoing reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy, restoring investor confidence, and creating a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.

President Tinubu also extended well-wishes to Pope Francis, expressing gratitude for his recovery and continued leadership.

“As we celebrate this season of renewal, may the message of Easter fill every heart and home with faith in the bright future ahead,” he said. “Though the present may be clouded, a glorious dawn awaits us.”

He called on citizens to remain hopeful and united, emphasizing that national progress is achievable through collective determination and shared values.

The President is expected to return to Nigeria after Easter Sunday.
