Today’s profile shines the spotlight on Godwin Attram, the head coach of Attram De Visser. A former Ghanaian international winger, Attram brings a wealth of experience to the bench, having previously coached Accra Great Olympics, and served as assistant coach for Black Galaxies, the Black Meteors, among other notable roles.

Read on for his profile:

Full Name: Godwin Attram

Nationality: Ghanaian

Age: 45 years

Godwin Attram was born on August 7, 1980 and is now 45 years old, having played for Ghana’s U-17 team, U-20, U-23, and the senior national team, the Black Stars. In total, the attacker scored 12 goals for all the national teams after making his first appearance for the U-17 team in 1997.

In club football, Attram started with Great Olympics in 1994 and scored 17 goals in 32 games before moving to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands from 1996 to 1999. The winger attacker played in Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Oman, and the Denmark league.

The former Ghana midfielder has helped his side secure their first-ever MTN FA Cup semi-final appearance. Attram, who is also the President of the club, previously led them to the quarterfinal in 2020/21 but lost 3-2 to two-time champions Medeama SC.

Attram De Visser achieved this feat by defeating fellow Division One side Port City 5-3 on penalties in the preliminary stage and before brushing aside former champions Okwahu United 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. They then cruised past second-tier side Kotoku Shining Stars 3-1 at home to secure a place in the round of 16.

The resilient Attram De Visser side also defeated Premier League giants Bibiani Gold Stars 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw and kocked out another Pac Academy, 4-3 on penalties after forcing the game to penalties with a late header from centre-back Gabriel Matumassey. On Saturday, they will clash with Golden Kick in the 1st semifinal of the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup.

In International football, Attram represented Ghana at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and won ten caps and scored one goal for the national team.
