The National Juvenile Committee (NJC) on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, convened a high-level strategic meeting with the Ghana Football Association’s Technical Directorate, the National Teams Department, and Juvenile National Team Coaches to align efforts in developing Ghana’s next generation of football stars.
Chaired by Samuel Anim Addo, 2nd Vice Chairman of the NJC, the meeting emphasised transitional plans for youth players, technical collaboration among coaches, and coordinated scouting processes. The session forms part of the NJC’s broader mission to build a seamless development pathway from the grassroots to the national team level.
The meeting drew participation from key figures including:

- Nana Kweku Agyemang, Deputy Coach – U17
- Odartey Lamptey, Head Coach – U16
- Yaw Preko, Head Coach – U15
- Samuel Aboabire, Chairman – U15 Schools Football Committee
- Eugene Nobel Noel, Chairman – Elite U15 Committee

- Gabriel Godwin Kwao, Hamidu Abdulai and Michael Kwabla Fiaduse, NJC Members

Also in attendance was GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, who doubles as Chairman of the NJC, lending his full support to the committee’s work.
The NJC led discussions on:
- Player transition across age categories (U15 to U17)
- Strengthened cooperation between technical and administrative arms of the GFA
- A more structured and consistent scouting process for juvenile national teams
- Development programs and support systems for youth coaches
Additionally, the meeting reviewed planning for the Elite U15 Championship, set to take place at Prampram during the offseason, with a focus on talent identification and competitive exposure for young players.
The National Juvenile Committee remains committed to building a stronger and more sustainable foundation for juvenile football in Ghana, ensuring the future of the national teams is secured through proper development structures.
