The Ministry of Health has rejected recent claims that Ms. Anne Sansa Daly was inaugurated as a member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Board during a ceremony on May 27, 2025.
In a press statement issued by spokesperson Tony Goodman, the Ministry labeled the assertions—reported by Graphic Online—as false and misleading.
The Ministry clarified that Ms. Daly was first appointed to the NHIA Board in a letter dated May 19, 2025, alongside other nominees.
However, her appointment was rescinded just four days later in a follow-up letter dated May 23, 2025, which also announced her replacement.
Contrary to what the media reported, Ms. Daly did not participate in the swearing-in ceremony that took place at the Ministry of Health on May 27.
“The Ministry wishes to firmly deny the allegations made in the aforementioned publication and to present the facts,” the statement read.
“It is crucial to clarify that Ms. Daly was not sworn in on May 27, 2025, during the swearing-in ceremony at the Ministry of Health.
