EOCO under fire: NPP firebrand KOKA accuses officers of mockery, vows retaliation

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Osei-Kusi Asante, widely known as KOKA, has issued a stern warning to the officers of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). He accused them of showing bias and promised retaliation if the NPP regains power.

In light of the escalating tensions surrounding the arrest and detention of the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), KOKA spoke candidly, implying that certain officers were ridiculing the party’s current situation and would ultimately face consequences.

“I know where you live, you are laughing at us. We are aware you are there mocking us, and your time will come,” he cautioned, suggesting that he perceives a political bias within law enforcement agencies.

KOKA asserted that the Ghana Police Service and other security bodies are no longer acting in the national interest but are being used by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to target their political adversaries.

“Currently, it feels like a personal vendetta because the police are serving the government… The police are telling us they won’t allow us to enter the premises,” he claimed.

He maintained that while government spokespersons assert that the ongoing operation is part of a national “reset,” the actual situation indicates an incomplete and biased agenda.

“I want them to understand it was a reset, but the process isn’t finished. The process will be reformatted, and at that time, when we identify you, we will bring you from your room for judgment,” KOKA remarked, alluding to potential political repercussions.
