Rev. Ntim Fodjour rejects ‘Honorable’ title, says Ministry is his true calling

Rev. John Ntim Fodjour, who previously served as the Deputy Minister for Education and is now the Member of Parliament for Assin South, has shared his thoughts on why he favors the title ‘Reverend’ instead of the more frequently used ‘Honorable’ by his fellow parliamentarians.

“While many opt for the title honorable, I have always preferred ‘Reverend.’ I even like being called ‘Fodjour,'” he mentioned during an interview with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime, which was monitored by MyNewsGh. “It feels nice—simple and easy to pronounce.”

For Rev. Fodjour, who has been an ordained minister for over 12 years, his ministry is his primary source of satisfaction.

“The title of reverend has been my true calling. Serving in the Lord’s vineyard is a tremendous honor,” he stated, emphasizing that he prefers to embody the responsibilities that come with the title rather than just using it.

Even with his busy political life, the MP continues to preach almost every Sunday as a resident pastor at Victory Bible Church, Iselome branch. “It’s all by the grace of God,” he clarified.

“Both politics and ministry demand a lot of time, so balancing the two can be challenging, but I am fortunate to have a solid support system—associate pastors like Rev. Romes, Rev. Reeves, and my wife, Lady Pastor Tracy, who help out when I’m not available.
