Ibrahim Tanko rallies Medeama for final push ahead of new league season

Medeama Sporting Club’s head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has committed to ensuring his team puts forth their utmost effort in the last two matches of the season.

Although they currently sit sixth in the league standings, trailing leaders Nations FC by 10 points, Tanko is now concentrating on strategizing for next season’s Ghana Premier League championship.

In an interview with Medi TV, Coach Tanko remarked, “The team’s performance has improved since I took charge. It’s crucial for me to prepare for the next season.”

He stressed that winning the remaining matches will allow the team to plan effectively for the upcoming season. “We are determined to give our all to win so that we can plan well for next season,” Coach Tanko further stated.

With the league title no longer attainable for Medeama SC, the team is set to strive for a strong finish to the season as they prepare to take on Asante Kotoko this weekend.

The Week 33 match between Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC is set to begin at 3 pm at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 1. Coach Tanko’s squad will aim for a favorable outcome in their final effort.
