A heartbreaking accident on the Bole–Damongo highway has taken the life of a 23-year-old man named Dakurah Eyilisun, leaving his mother, Alice Eyilisun, in a critical state.
This tragic event unfolded on Saturday, May 31, 2025, close to the Damongo Municipal Assembly in the Savannah Region.
The collision led to the immediate death of Dakurah Eyilisun, while his mother suffered severe injuries.
In a statement to Channel One News, Chief Inspector Grace Odurowaa Boateng, the Savannah Regional Police PRO, confirmed that Dakurah was declared dead upon reaching the hospital.
She also mentioned that the injured mother is currently being treated at St. Anne Catholic Hospital in Damongo, where her condition remains critical.
