Former running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, commonly referred to as Napo, has revealed that he has been visiting the National Investigations Bureau to report on his performance as Education Minister.
He mentioned that he has visited the NIB office twice to share details about his work at the ministry.
“The NIB has summoned me, and it’s not something that many are aware of. I have been to their office on two occasions to account for my time at the Education Ministry. I can’t recall everything, but that’s why we have administrators who maintain records,” he stated.
He further added, “This is why I emphasize that as public officials, we must ensure accountability. Several individuals from the previous administration also visit the NIB. I plan to go there again tomorrow. I believe that just because you lead in court doesn’t necessarily mean you have a strong case.”
In addition, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh mentioned that he will not reveal the specifics of his visits to the NIB, although he noted that it relates to his four-year term at the Education Ministry.
He took this chance to urge politicians to commit to serving the nation with diligence when given the opportunity.
