Two pickup vehicles trailed him before officers swooped in and whisked him away, reportedly heading toward the NIB headquarters.

His arrest sparked widespread speculation, particularly in connection to an ongoing investigation into allegations of ghost names on the NSA payroll.

As of midday on Sunday, February 23, 2025, he was still undergoing interrogations, though details surrounding his detention remained unclear.

However, MyNewsGh.com has learnt that he has been released from police custody.
