The Dangme West District U13 and U17 Colts Leagues kicked off with thrilling encounters as young talents showcased their skills in the opening round of fixtures.
In the U13 category, Nayan SA claimed an impressive 4-2 home victory over City Boys, while Young Heroes and Dodowa Young Academy played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Shining Star secured a narrow 3-2 win against Fano Babies, and Philac FC dominated Capon FC with a commanding 3-0 triumph.
At the U17 level, City Boys and Nayan SA played to a 1-1 draw, while Dodowa Young Academy edged Young Heroes 2-1. Shining Star continued their fine form with a 1-0 victory over Fano Babies, and Philac FC once again showcased their dominance, defeating Capon FC 3-0.
Following these results, Nayan SA sits at the top of the U13 table in Shai Zone A, while Philac FC leads Shai Zone B after their strong start. In the U17 league, Dodowa Young Academy tops Shai Zone A, with Philac FC leading the way in Shai Zone B.
The leagues are expected to attract a lot more attention as match Day 2 beckons.
