As Muslims in Ghana and across the world begin their fasting and prayers, the Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, has urged them to pray for President John Dramani Mahama.
He believes these prayers will strengthen Mahama’s leadership and contribute to reshaping the country for a better future.
“We are praying that God will continue to shower His blessings on Mahama and the NDC party throughout Ramadan so that Ghana will be blessed, and President Dramani Mahama will receive all the glory and blessings from God to lead and possibly reset the country for the better,” Prof. Asiedu stated.

He made these remarks while leading the Central Regional NDC to donate food items, including over 500 bags of sugar, 100 cartons of milk, and bottled water, to the Allahsuna, Tejaniyah, and Ahmadiyya Muslim groups in the region as part of the annual Ramadan observance.
Additionally, Zongo Caucus coordinators received a portion of the donations to support their respective constituencies in providing sustenance for those observing the fast.
Ramadan, derived from an Arabic word meaning intense heat, scorched ground, and scarcity of food and water, marks the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
It traditionally begins with the sighting of the new moon and is observed by millions of Muslims worldwide as a period of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection.
