The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has alerted the public regarding a deceptive recruitment scheme that is making the rounds online, especially via the website GOLERNERSHUB.COM.
This site is misleadingly promoting the launch of a protocol recruitment portal, which has led the GIS to completely distance itself from these assertions.
In a press release dated June 2, 2025, and signed by M. Amoako-Atta, the Assistant Commissioner of Immigration and Head of Public Affairs, the GIS clarified that it has not given permission to any individual, group, or third-party website to carry out recruitment activities or sell protocol forms on its behalf.
The Service stressed that it has not obtained any government approval for recruitment at this moment.
The GIS reassured the public that any genuine recruitment efforts would be officially announced through reliable channels, including national newspapers and its own official platforms.
“Our Intelligence Section, in partnership with other state security agencies, is actively following leads to identify, apprehend, and prosecute those responsible for this fraudulent operation,” the statement continued.
The Service advised the public to ignore any messages or solicitations from GOLERNERSHUB.COM or other unofficial sources. It cautioned that anyone who interacts with such entities does so at their own peril.
