Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has presented the 2025 Budget and Economic Policy to Parliament under the theme “Resetting Ghana for the Economy We Want.”
During his presentation, Dr. Forson reaffirmed the government’s commitment to implementing a 24-hour economy policy, a key initiative of the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He announced that the policy will soon be formally presented to Parliament for approval, emphasizing its potential to enhance economic productivity by encouraging businesses to operate around the clock.
Additionally, the Finance Minister highlighted the dire state of Ghana’s cocoa sector, describing it as being on the verge of collapse.
