CAF Young Reporters Programme wraps up in Accra

-

The CAF Young Reporters Programme concluded successfully on Friday in Accra, Ghana, during the third day of the CAF African Schools Football Championship.

The programme, which forms part of six other CAF Capacity Building programmes is supported by Canal+, and will see four selected graduates being afforded an exciting Internship opportunity and the giant media house in France next year.

The unique initiative, which supports CAF’s Vision of making African football globally competitive and self-sustaining provides rising media talents with hands-on international experience and professional mentorship—key tools to help shape authentic narratives about African football.

The CAF Young Reporters Programme is a flagship initiative under CAF’s broader strategy for youth development. It aims to nurture the next generation of African storytellers who will shine a spotlight on the continent’s talent and unique football culture.

CAF’s Director of Communications, Luxolo September, attended the final day of the programme in Accra and engaged with the young reporters, sharing insights into the industry and encouraging them to embrace the opportunities ahead being provided by CAF.

“This programme is about more than just journalism—it’s about telling the African story through African voices,” said September. “We are proud to continue working with Canal+ to offer these young individuals a pathway into the professional world. These are the storytellers of tomorrow, and CAF is committed to supporting them every step of the way.”
