Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima has said that the reforms initiated and implemented by President Bola Tinubu’s administration are stabilising the nation’s economy.

Shettima said this while speaking at the 2025 retreat for newly inaugurated members of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Monday.

He said that through the Tinubu’s administration policies, poverty is being reduced among Nigerians across the country.

The Vice President also noted that the government at the national level is focused on implementing interventions which target the well-being and the quality of life lived by Nigerians.

Represented by Ibrahim Natagwandu, his technical adviser on public debt management and revenue mobilization, the vice president said the present administration has repositioned the Nigerian economy through its bold reforms and initiatives.

“This administration remains steadfast in its efforts to reposition the Nigerian economy through bold reforms aimed at reducing poverty, attracting investment, and creating an enabling environment where citizens can thrive and contribute meaningfully to national development.

“Guided by the administration’s agenda, the government is implementing targeted interventions to stabilise the economy, expand opportunities, and improve the quality of life for all Nigerians,” Shettima said.
