Tinubu has broken the cabal’s grip on Nigeria’s economy

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Adeola (popularly known as Yayi), has declared that Nigeria’s economy is no longer under the control of a select few.

Adeola credited the development to the bold economic reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking during the second edition of his Mega Empowerment/Town Hall Meeting and Thank You Tour held in Ipokia, Ogun West Senatorial District, Adeola stated that Tinubu’s administration has dismantled the influence of economic cabals that once held the nation’s economy hostage.

His words: “I’m happy that we have an economy now that is no more in the hands of a selected few or guided by cabals. Tinubu’s tax reform policy is for the best of Nigeria.”

Adeola, who represents Ogun West in the National Assembly, described the reforms as necessary steps to free Nigeria’s economy from the stranglehold of entrenched interests.

He noted that the overhaul of tax laws shortly after Tinubu assumed office in 2023 has already begun delivering tangible results.

He said: “Having spent over a decade in the Senate and serving on various committees, I understand how deeply the system was captured.

“These reforms are for the good of Nigerians. For the first time in a long while, the economy is no longer dictated by a cabal.”

The senator commended President Tinubu for what he described as a “job well done,” expressing his full support for the current administration’s economic direction.

On the empowerment programme, Adeola explained that the initiative was designed to give back to the people of Ogun West as a gesture of appreciation for their continued trust and support.

He pledged to keep pushing for more developmental projects and maintain strong legislative representation.

“I will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy and ensure that Ogun West is not left behind in national development,” he assured.
